Our Purpose

Jim KazeilThe Jim Kazeil Foundation was created to make life easier for people and their families living with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (A.L.S.) or Lou Gehrig’s disease.

Our family has lived with this disease since September 2003.

We feel that we have tremendous insight into what some of the issues are while coping every day with the deterioration of our loved and cherished husband/father.

Boredom and isolation are two of the unseen parts of the disease and some of the items we would like to help with could lessen the impact of both.

    Some possible uses for funds raised are:
  • House cleaning services
  • Yard clean-up maintenance
  • Movies – movie passes – books, magazines, music, games,
  • Internet/Cable subscriptions
  • Restaurant gift certificates
  • Groceries
  • Laundry service
  • Household devices – eg: meat grinder, blender.
  • Funeral costs
  • Obituary posting costs
  • Travel for family members
  • Spa/salon gift certificates for caregivers
  • Massage
  • Flowers
